Dead weights, because force starts with mass

Force references built on load cells inherit those cells’ drift. Dead-weight calibration ties your force gauge directly to mass and gravity — the primary approach — which is why our force work is performed against dead-weight standards. Certificates report as-found/as-left readings through the range, measurement uncertainty, NIST traceability, and the Z540.3 decision rule.

Typical workload includes digital and mechanical force gauges, push-pull gauges, crimp testers, and tension/compression instruments used everywhere from medical device assembly to wire-harness production.

Simple logistics, honest repair calls

Force gauges travel well: free SoCal pickup routes (OC Mon & Wed, LA Tue & Thu, Inland Empire Fri) or nationwide mail-in, with 7–10 business day standard turnaround. Instruments that arrive damaged or drifting get an evaluation first — and per our standing policy, repair estimates never exceed 50% of replacement cost.
